Pro-Antho Forte® is a flavonoid antioxidant complex designed to provide support of the cardiovascular system through potent antioxidants, procyanidins, and resveratrol.‡

Oligopin® is standardized to contain at least 67% procyanidins—a subclass of polyphenols similar to those found in berries and citrus fruits. Procyanidins from Oligopin® are metabolized to catechin, caffeic acid, taxifolin, ferulic acid, and a unique compound known as δ-(3,4-dihydroxy-phenyl)-γ-valerolactone. Oligopin® also contains a number of other polyphenols and organic acids, such as cinnamic acids. There are over 400 scientific publications supporting the benefits of this plant extract, especially for cardiovascular function.‡

In a 6-week study in 25 healthy adult subjects who took 150 mg of French maritime pine bark extract daily, a healthy balance of cardiovascular lipids occurred. The same study also found that plasma oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) was significantly elevated after four weeks.‡

Moreover, nitric oxide (NO) is imperative for proper vasodilation (blood vessel expansion/relaxation), and thus, healthy blood flow and blood pressure. Procyanidins, which are abundant in Oligopin®, have been shown to promote blood flow by increasing NO production, as well as supporting healthy blood pressure already in the healthy range.‡

Resveratrol is reported to have health benefits including anticarcinogenic effects and protection against cardiovascular disease. ‡
